Recap of a long week

So Christmas has come and gone, it it was great for us. Even though not everything got here in time, Lindsey still had a great Christmas, and My Mother-in-law even cooked dinner for us, and it was pretty good. Prime Rib, and mashed potatoes. Westley got a Wagon for Christmas, and he loves getting in and out of it. We've been busy this week/weekend helping out my mother-in-law with one of the houses she rents out. She's been fixing it up (New carpet, new paint, etc) and we had to take some stuff to the dump for her. We took some of the stuff at our house too, which was nice.
Now it's New years eve, and Just like every year past, Jason is sick, and we're just going to stay home, and celebrate by watching the ball drop on TV. Tomorrow, we're going to my mother-in-law's for our Brithday dinner, and to Play Wii.
Well, I think that covers it for now. I'll post again, with pictures later in the week.

Lindsey got a pretty Christmas dress as an early present. I thought I would dress the kids up, and take there picture. This is the result.

Jammies

Yesterday at school, Lindsey's class had "hibernation day". She went to school in her PJ's and they had pancakes, and read books all day. They also had the school sing along. I went to watch, and wanted to video some to put here, but Lindsey ending up being on the second riser, and the boy in front of her was a lot taller, so I couldn't see her at all. I did take a few pictures while she was coming to sit back down, and she promised me, that after school (when the camera is charged again) that I could record her singing, and post it here.



Lindsey insisted I take a picture of her and Westley in there "matching" pjs. I have red pjs with Cats on them, and Jason has Hot Tamales Pjs. Lindsey wants us all to wear our red pjs and be in a pic together. Maybe on Christmas day.

Dad sent me this picture of Jason and me dressed up for the Madrigal Dinner. He printed out 3 for me, but I don't have a scanner, so I couldn't post it. But now here it is.

Don't we look great? Mom made everything I am wearing, and Jason is wearing a shirt from Dad, and a doublet we bought at the Northern California Renaissance fair. He also wore black pants, and Dad's boots.We were the youngest people at our table, so we didn't chat that much, and nobody picked on our table. but Lindy called all us old timers to join in for the last few songs. (I dragged Jason up, and had a memory lapse when he Lindy wanted to do Silent night in german) It was great fun tho.

I found the other camera. Jason had set it aside, so Westley couldn't get it, and then forgotten where he put it. While I was cleaning a spot for the Christmas tree, I found it. So here are some of the pictures on here from before. I'll post Lindsey iceskating later.

Back From CC

We got Back from a Weekend at Mom and Dad's. Lindsey and Westley had a blast, and Jason got his first taste of a madrigal dinner. I even made him dress up. Dad has the pic, or I would post it. So here's some pics of the trip.We went shopping in Brookings. There is no more "Oh My Goodness"candy store, so we looked in at the toy store, and Westley loved this little piano.The Kids, and Grandpa in the "Race Car" cart. Westley kept trying to steer both wheels, and the cart was kinda hard to menuver, but we had fun. We got some Jelly Belly's. Lindsey got to see Sant, and when he asked her what she wanted, her mind went blank. Westley was afraid of this santa (Who happened to be really tall and skinny) so I don't have a picture of him. When we got back we had no food in the house, so we went to Strings. Westley was sleep eating. Well, that's it for now. hope everyone's doing ok, because we are here.

Here's Lindsey with her empty tooth hole.What was really great is when she looked at the tooth, she said "It's pretty small. I think I'll only get a quater for this one" (she's gotten a dollar for her other ones and 5 dollars for her first)

What a Weekend

I have a new appreciation for all mothers of boys.
My sister-in-law Suzanne who has 4

And of course my Mother, who manged to raise 3.

This week has been a trying time for Westley and me. It seems that when I am not holding him, he wants me to, and when I am holding him, he doesn't want me to. It's driving me nuts. Not to mention he keeps changing his sleep patterns, which inturn changes mine (I'm not the early bird I used to be when we had seminary at 6am)However we muddled through to the weekend, wherein Jason could share the pain, and now things seem to be ok. Lindsey has been great through all of this. She is a real trooper, and a wonderful helper. I don't know how I managed to do it myself the first time, cause I would certainly be lost without my Lindsey helping me now. Lindsey might be wishing for front teeth for Christmas. One of her two front teeth is finally ready to depart. She is very excited about this ("As soon as it falls out, I wanna call Grammie and tell her, then PorPor (Jason's mom), then Grandpa, then Grandpa Legate, and Great Gramp....") It happened late last night, while we were out exchanging Jason's Christmas Present. (we decided he should open it early, so if I needed to take it back, I wouldn't have to stand in humongous lines) So I don't have pictures yet, but I will post some this afternoon, of her and her wiggly tooth.Yesterday we went to the park, to try and run off some of Westley's neverending energy. I took some pictures, so here they are.

Westley's always been a fan of the slide, but he loves this one the best, because it's so bumpy.






Now that Westley's older we tried the swings again (he used to hate it) He loves it now. Lindsey was pushing him, and I constantly had to tell her, "not too high".

This is Lindsey in the Hat and Scarf I loom knitted for her. Here's Westley in his hat (he wouldn't leave his scarf on long enough for a picture. The hat came off soon after this was taken) Well that's all for now. Like I said, expect a post later this afternoon
